Hai'an county in East China's Jiangsu province has built a miniature replica of the Sidney Opera House to grow flowers but nothing will bloom until the end of the year.
The white building, which was named Petal Greenhouse, cost 600,000 yuan ($98,500) and covers an area of about 120 square meters.
Although the greenhouse was constructed in August, it is now lying idle in the middle of vegetable plots and fields of weeds.
It won't be put into use until the end of the year, when equipment is installed, the local government said.
