Shanghai's landmark leisure street Xintiandi is to host the second round of a crossover window display exhibition that originated in London's Regent Street, in late March, combining fashionable elements with architectural design.
Themed "Design Your Style", the window project overseen by the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Cultural and Education Section of the British Consulate-General, will feature retail concepts combined with cultural connotations.
In 2012, taking the opportunity of the London Olympics and the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship established between China and the UK, Shanghai Xintiandi introduced the crossover window display program from Regent Street to China for the first time.
It presented a creative collision between Eastern and Western cultures for Shanghai citizens with the art vision "Play Your Style".
Ten RIBA design teams will join the RIBA Windows Project 2014.
