The even-odd license plate plan for drivers will be implemented in Lanzhou, capital of Gansu province, if heavy air pollution continues for three days in the city, Lanzhou Daily reported on Monday.
It was estimated that the urban road traffic density in Lanzhou reached 628 vehicles per kilometer, two times more than Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
