One dead, 15 injured in building explosion

HARBIN - At least one person was killed and another 15 were injured after an explosion happened early Thursday morning in a residential building in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, local authorities said.
Police in the province's Jixi city received report at about 5:26 am that an explosion occurred at a building in Longshan International Community, according to the municipal government.
The fire was extinguished. Rescue is under way at the scene.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
