A taxi driver in Shanghai was put under administrative detention for 10 days for ripping off a foreign passenger.
The driver, surnamed Huang, arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport's Terminal 1 on Wednesday morning ready to collect passengers.
A foreigner took Huang's taxi and asked to be taken to the city's Hongqiao area, about 50 kilometers away. The fare is usually around 200 yuan ($33).
But Huang manipulated the fare meter and charged 940 yuan.
The driver was caught that afternoon when he returned to the airport and the money was returned to the passenger.
The driver's taxi license was revoked for five years.
