Chinese FM to attend Iranian nuclear meeting

BEIJING -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will attend a foreign ministers' meeting on the Iranian nuclear issue in New York on September 26, a spokesman announced here on Wednesday.
Wang and his counterparts from other permanent UN Security Council members and Germany will discuss the current Iranian nuclear situation and next talk with Iran, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei noted.
China has always advocated a peaceful solution to the Iran nuclear issue through dialogue and negotiation, he said, adding that his country hopes the upcoming meeting will play a constructive role in promoting talks.
