A total of 19,377 people from low-income groups in Fuzhou, Fujian province, will receive food stamps with a face value of 336.3 yuan for each person before the coming Mid-Autumn Festival, China National Radio reported.
According to a file issued by the local government of Fuzhou on June 25, the food stamps would be provided to low-income earners at Mid-Autumn Festival and Lunar New Year from this year.
The food stamps can be used at 12 stores of a local supermarket chain, which topped up their value, to buy such items as fresh food, grain, oil and seasonings.
