The Party disciplinary watchdog of Duanzhou district in Zhaoqing, Guangdong province, is investigating claims that officials of a sub-district office traveled for leisure on public funds and watched pole dancing during a tour.
A post by a netizen on the website of Nanfang Rural News claimed on Sunday that officials of the Huanggang sub-district office in Duanzhou district traveled to scenic spots in several cities in and outside the province on public funds earlier this month.
They were also said to have watched pole dancing in Yanshuo, the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The netizen also posted pictures of officials watching pole dancing.
A team was sent to investigate the case, according to the Party disciplinary watchdog of Duanzhou district.
