Twice as many men than women are victims of cyber fraud, according to a leading Internet company report, China News Service said.
The report, published by Qihoo 360, claimed the company intercepted 1.22 billion phishing attacks in the first half of 2013.
The report shows that the post-1990 generation, who grew up with the Internet, were another main target.
The survey found that 49.2 percent of those hit by cyber fraud were from the post-1990 generation.
An analysis of the intercepted attacks shows that cyber swindlers often disguise themselves under the cover of fake sale promotion.
