A photo exhibition that began Aug 22 will run until the end of this month at the CITIC Square Plaza in Shanghai.
The event, co-hosted by the Modern Media and the Earth Water organization, aims to encourage people to participate in charity works to enable more children to have access to clean waters.
"I'm glad to see Earth Water has become more and more popular in China, and we will make persistent efforts to provide clean water for more and more Chinese children," said Patrick de Nekker, co-founder of the organization.
Since 2011, Earth Water, together with its Chinese partners, has provided clean water systems for more than 8,000 students of nine schools in Beijing, Yushu in Qinghai province, and Badong in Hubei province. This year more clean water systems will be provided to schools in Gansu province, the Inner Mongolia autonomous region and Shaanxi province, the organizer said.
