BEIJING - China's Ministry of Finance (MOF) said Thursday that the country has allocated 230 million yuan ($37.24 million) as flood relief funds for 12 provinces and autonomous regions.

The money will be used for flood control efforts and to repair damaged water conservancy facilities in the provinces of Fujian, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Jiangxi, Anhui, Hebei, Shanxi, Henan, Liaoning and Shaanxi, and the Ningxia Hui and Tibet autonomous regions, according to the MOF.

As of July 17, floods in China had killed 337 people and left 213 missing this year, with further flooding possible, according to the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters.

A total of 2.77 billion yuan from the central budget has been allocated to flood control and drought relief efforts this year, the MOF said.
