A man reportedly killed two government officials and injured four others in the family-planning bureau of a city in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Tuesday morning.
The suspect broke into the office of Dongxing city's family-planning bureau at about 8 am, killed two officials and injured four, according to an online post.
A local publicity official confirmed the incident to People's Daily, but the official didn't give any details about the victims.
The online post pointed out that the man was venting his anger after the official refused to give his second son hukou, or household registration.
China Daily's phone calls to the publicity department of Dongxing city went unanswered on Tuesday afternoon.
