The under-construction Shanghai Tower may not become the nation's tallest building, at least not for long, as an even taller skyscraper is planned for Suzhou, Jiangsu province.
The Zhongnan Group are behind the new building, and it is expected to exceed 700 meters in height. The Shanghai Tower will be 632 meters tall.
The new skyscraper will be built at Suzhou Industrial Park, but the blueprint has yet to be finalized, the industrial park's administrative commission was quoted as saying by Xinhuanet on Thursday.
