Post-quake reconstruction in Lushan county, Sichuan province, will cost up to 86 billion yuan ($13.9 billion) over three years, the State Council said on Monday.
A reconstruction plan released by the Cabinet on www.gov.cn said besides government spending, recovery funds will come from a number of channels.
The plan covered the severely hit area of 10,706 square kilometers, including six counties in Ya'an and six towns in Chengdu, Sichuan province, with a total population of 1.15 million.
It said after the reconstruction, living conditions in the area will surpass those before the quake, and that every family will have a house to live in.
The magnitude-7.0 earthquake hit Lushan county on April 20, leaving nearly 200 people dead and about 14,780 injured.
