A German has scooped more than 600,000 yuan ($97,700) on a national lottery in Wuhan, Hubei province, local newspaper Chutian Jinbao reported on Sunday.
The German, named Edward, was the only foreigner among the eight first-prize winners in the June 2 football lottery draw.
He showed his winning ticket at the sports lottery center in Hubei province on July 10, and claimed the 640,000 yuan prize in the company of his wife.
Wan Yaolin, owner of the shop in Hanyang, where Edward often buys lottery tickets, said he has won many prizes before.
