BEIJING - The National Meteorological Center (NMC) said Typhoon Soulik has made landfall on the Huangqi Peninsula in East China's Fujian province at 4 pm Saturday.
Wind speeds at the typhoon's center reached a top speed of 118 km per hour as it landed, the NMC said.
The center said the provinces of Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangxi should closely monitor reservoirs and dams, as well as prevent possible floods and mudslides.
