Chinese workers who hid in a mountain in southern Russia for more than two days after a suspected dispute with their employer will fly back to China, Life News reported on Wednesday.
More than 90 workers from a construction site in Kemerovo are expected to arrive at their homes in Suihua, Heilongjiang province, which borders Russia, before Thursday .
Sixty-one workers hid in a mountain after they were allegedly abused by their employer. Workers also said they did not receive promised wages.
An employee of the construction site, who only gave her name as Zhou, said the reason for the dispute was that the quality of the project failed to meet standards.
Officials from the Heilongjiang government and the Chinese embassy transferred the workers from the mountain to a local church on Friday evening.
Investigation is still under way.
