Neighbor held for stealing couple's savings

A neighbor who allegedly stole a couple's life savings of 480,000 yuan ($78,200) in Shanghai was arrested on the charge of theft, the Shanghai Morning Post reported on Wednesday.
The couple, identified as Fan and Lu, live in Chongming county, Shanghai.
They buried the money in a vegetable field on their property for safety on April 16. But it was witnessed by their neighbor.
The neighbor allegedly took the money on April 23 and buried most of it under his chicken coop.
