A 2-month-old boy who was suffering from a cerebral hemorrhage was found abandoned on Tuesday on a street in Hefei, Anhui province.
Passers-by discovered the boy wrapped in ragged jeans without any information of his identity and immediately called the police. The boy was sent to Anhui No 2 Provincial People's Hospital for a medical check.
The boy's parents were soon found by the police. The father said the family has exhausted all their money for the boy's treatment. But the mother promised that they will have him treated for his condition and will not abandon the child again.
Doctors at the hospital said that it usually costs about 10,000 yuan ($1,630) to treat a cerebral hemorrhage. They promised to arrange an operation as soon as possible.
