The water level of Jialing River rises at an ancient town called Ciqikou in Chongqing, flooding part of the area on July 2, 2013. The water level rose to its peak of 174.42 meters at 11 am on July 2, more than nine meters higher than at 8 pm a day earlier. Emergency flood controls were launched.
