Premier Li meets Kissinger in Beijing

BEIJING - Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met with former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger in Beijing on Friday, according to a government press release on Saturday.
During the meeting, Li said the world is undergoing complex and profound changes.
Economic globalization, regional integration, and the liberalization and facilitation of trade and investment are a general trend, which is also a powerful driving force for addressing global financial problems and achieving an economic recovery, Li said.
China is willing to make joint efforts with all other countries to promote development and prosperity of the world, he said.
Kissinger, who was in Beijing to attend the 3rd Global Think Tank Summit, noted the significance of China's growth for the world, adding that he will continue to play an active role in Global Think Tank Summit meetings.
