BEIJING - Chinese Vice-President Li Yuanchao on Friday attended the second high-level dialogue between the ruling parties of China and Sudan.
Nafie Ali Nafie, Sudanese presidential assistant and vice-chairman of Sudan's ruling National Congress Party (NCP), is leading a party delegation.
Li, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said the Party and the Chinese government cherish their friendship with Sudan and deal with bilateral relations from a strategic and long-term perspective.
The dialogue between the ruling parties is an important platform for the two parties to increase strategic communication and promote pragmatic cooperation, Li said, urging the two parties to deepen exchanges and boost the all-round development of China-Sudan relations.
Nafie said Sudan regards China as a sincere friend and a strategic partner, and expects to enhance political trust and friendly cooperation through inter-party dialogue.
Nafie is leading the delegation for a weeklong visit in China.
