China's youth organization opens national congress

BEIJING - The Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) opened its 17th national congress Monday.
The opening ceremony was attended by Chinese President Xi Jinping as well as other members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, including Li Keqiang, Zhang Dejiang, Yu Zhengsheng, Liu Yunshan, Wang Qishan and Zhang Gaoli.
Founded in 1922, the CYLC is a mass youth organization under the leadership of the CPC.
