Henan expressway accidents kill 9

Nine people were killed in a series of accidents on the Zhumadian section of the Beijing-Hong Kong Expressway in Henan province on Tuesday, China News Service reported.
The 16 accidents involved 56 vehicles.
The fatalities were among 49 people who were injured.
The police told China News Service that the sudden appearance of fog caused the accidents.
Meanwhile, Zhengzhou Evening News reported that villagers near the site of the accidents robbed a goods van but didn’t disclose any details.
