Magnitude-5.0 quake hits Qinghai

BEIJING - A 5.0-magnitude earthquake jolted China's Northwest Qinghai province at 8:43 pm Wednesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 4 km, was monitored at about 37.6 degrees north latitude and 95.9 degrees east longitude, the center said in a statement.
The US Geological Survey tallied it as 5.5-magnitude.
