BEIJING - Political figures from China and European countries will gather in east China's Jiangsu province in order to promote Sino-Europe ties.
Yu Xiaoxuan, an official with the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said the fourth China-Europe High-Level Political Party Forum is scheduled from April 22 to 23 in the city of Suzhou.
Leaders representing 43 political parties from 26 European countries, a regional European political party, a political party group in the European Parliament and more than 100 high-ranking officials from three European think tanks will attend the forum, Yu said.
The leaders will discuss China's development and Sino-Europe cooperation in dealing with international affairs, Yu said.
The forum is designed to enhance mutual trust and cooperation between China and Europe.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Europe comprehensive strategic partnership.
