Shanghai residents can save time lining up at hospitals through making outpatient appointments via an online platform from this year.
The health information website, which is under construction, will connect the city's 600 public hospitals. It's expected to open by June, local health authorities said.
On this website, patients' medical records and prescriptions can be viewed by doctors at all of the city's hospitals. It is part of the city's efforts to reduce repeating medical treatment and improve efficiency.
Residents can also visit this website to learn about their health information and diagnosis reports, officials said.
