Police arrest suspect in Hohhot murder and robbery case

After more than 18 months of investigations, police have caught the suspect in a murder and robbery case in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, Xinhua News Agency reported.
At about 11 pm on Aug 8, 2011, the owner of a supermarket in Hohhot's Xincheng district and her 14-year-old daughter died from multiple stab wounds. The killer took all cash, a notebook computer and top-end cigarettes from the shop, the report said.
Police from Xincheng district arrested the suspect in Yunnan province on Feb 26.
The suspect, 28, who has a criminal record for robbery, confessed on Friday, police said.
Investigations are continuing.
