The capital's commerce authority is seeking public opinion on draft measures to ban cooked bulk food sales online in the city as of Tuesday.
The draft stipulates that cooked food in bulk lots, including steamed buns and processed deli meat, will be banned from being sold online, so as to ensure food safety, said the Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce.
The public can view the draft on the official website of the administration, hd315.gov.cn, and submit their opinion by sending a fax to 82691799 or an e-mail to shipinchu@yahoo.com.cn, it said.
The gathering of public opinion will last from Tuesday to March 1.
