Road accident kills 4, injures 13 in SW China

GUIYANG - Four people were killed and 13 others injured in a road accident in southwest China's Guizhou Province, said local authorities Wednesday.
The accident took place at around 8 a.m. on Tuesday when a motor tricycle fell into a deep trench at in Shuicheng County of Liupanshui City, according to the city government.
Four people were killed at the scene. Among the 13 injured, seven were seriously hurt.
The tricycle allows a maximum of four passengers, but it was carrying 18 when the accident happened.
The driver, who had fled the scene, was later captured by local police.
The cause of the accident is being investigated.
