5.4-magnitude quake jolts Tibet

BEIJING - An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted the Gerze county of Ali prefecture in Southwest China's Tibet autonomous region at 1:11 pm Beijing Time Monday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 9 km, was initially determined to be at 34.4 degrees north latitude and 85.7 degrees east longitude.
