Social security, the anti-corruption efforts and income distribution are the top three concerns of Chinese people this year, according to an online poll of Internet users.
The poll - conducted by the news website people.com.cn and with the participation of about 590,000 netizens - found that 97 percent of people were "very dissatisfied" with what they consider the slow increase of the pensions of former employees of State-owned enterprises, while 83 percent of respondents were in favor of a flexible retirement-age system.
The results were released ahead of this year's National People's Congress and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference session, which will start in the first week of March.
Social security issues also topped the list of concerns of Web users in similar polls conducted last year and in 2011.
