Teacher suspended for forcing students to kneel

A middle school teacher in East China's Jiangxi province was suspended from work after a photo showed him punishing students by forcing them to kneel on the ground, China News Service reported on Jan 24.
The photo was uploaded by an anonymous netizen on Jan 23.
In the photo, a man is standing in front of a class of 40-odd students who were kneeling down on the playground of the Fenkeng middle school in the county.
Zhang Wenbin, a publicity official from the county, confirmed the incident on Jan 23.
Zhang said the teacher involved has been suspended from school, and officials have been dispatched to investigate the case.
