Yellow River frozen by cold snap

Ice is seen on the Yinchuan section of the Yellow River in Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region, on Jan 21, 2013. About 1,022 kilometers of Yellow River major branches had been frozen due to lingering low temperatures as of Jan 21, official figures show.
