People with disabilities can now borrow wheelchairs and crutches when they visit nine of Nanjing's parks, according to the city's tourism committee.
Non-motorized vehicles used by disabled people are also allowed to enter six of the nine parks, including Xuanwu Lake Park and Mochou Lake Park, the committee said. However, for safety reasons the vehicles are not allowed to enter the other three mountainous parks, including Hongshan Zoo, Qixia Mountain and Yanziji Park.
The committee said that visitors can borrow wheelchairs and crutches in two of the city's most renowned scenic areas - Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum and Yuhuatai Martyrs Cemetery.
