Chinese, Russian parties pledge to promote ties

BEIJING - Senior officials of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the United Russia party have pledged to promote ties during a meeting Tuesday in Beijing.
Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, exchanged views with Boris Gryzlov, chairman of United Russia's Supreme Council, on the current situations of both countries and parties.
They praised the development of bilateral relations and party-to-party ties over recent years and exchanged views on the future development of the two parties' relations.
Both sides agreed that the ruling parties of China and Russia should strengthen cooperation to better serve the development of the two countries' overall relations.
