Beijing animation festival wraps up

The 7th China (Beijing) International Student Animation Festival ended on Wednesday night at the Communication University of China.
Five animation schools from France, Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom showed their students latest works during the four-day festival.
Among the featured productions was In Between, a three-minute two-dimensional animation from the Goblins School of Image in France about a girl’s fight with a small crocodile. The girl grows up by overcoming her cowardice. Also featured was In France, a three-dimensional animation by Supinfocom School in France about a portrait of the imperial life in the Louis XIV era.
Shelly Page, head of International Outreach, DreamWorks Animation, brought nearly a dozen short animation productions from several different countries. She also spoke highly of Farewell, Rainy Days by Zheng Yawen from Communication University of China, which moved audiences with its subtle images and touching story.
