Changhong unveils new Smart TV in Indonesia

JAKARTA - Changhong, one of China's leading electronics manufacturers, launched on Wednesday its newest Smart TV here, as it looks to boost its market share of the products in Indonesia.
According to Changhong Indonesia, a series of the Smart TV available at the end of this month in Indonesian market will be equipped with Ciri voice system, a newly developed smart voice technology by Changhong aiming to enhance interactive experience between TV and consumers.
The fully Android system installed Smart TV highlights features such as smart voice control, smart 3D signal and gesture recognition. The dual-core processor equipped TV also allows consumers to use multiple applications while browsing. The 3D GPU (Graphics processing unit) will provide better 3D screen display for game player.
Washington Feng, President Director of Changhong Indonesia, said in the launching ceremony that the sophisticated TV in the future should serve as a platform for social networking, digital information sharing as well as visual and audio entertainment.
"Changhong considers Indonesia as an important market and aims to be the leader in Smart TV field in the country," Feng said, adding the company is optimized to sell 200,000 units of smart TV in Indonesia next year.
Established in 1958 and produced its first TV in 1972, Changhong is now one of the largest consumer electronic products providers in China. The company recorded revenue of CNY 52 billion (around 8 billion U.S. dollars) in 2011.
