Police have arrested 15 people suspected of making and selling fake medicine in Fujian and Guangdong provinces, Legal Daily reported on Tuesday.
The customs in Yiwu, a city in East China's Zhejiang province, intercepted an export of more than 1.6 million pills of fake Viagra on March 31, the report said.
The fake pills were mingled with other items and declared as "glass bottles". The customs also found about 600,000 porn pictures printed on the packs of the fake pills.
The police arrested a person surnamed Zhou on July 6 for trafficking the fake pills. Zhou said the pills were going to be sold to Africa, according to the report.
On July 25, police raided the fake medicine production site where Zhou bought the fake Viagra, and seized fake medicine and 31 machines worth more than 14 million yuan ($2.2 million) and took 15 suspects into custody, the report said.
