Continuous rainfall destroyed a section of the Great Wall from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and renovation work is already underway, xinhuanet.cn reported on Tuesday.
The damaged part, located in Zhangjiakou city, in Hebei province, was rebuilt in 1484. The rainfalls destroyed about a 30-meter section of the Great Wall. The renovation plan was drafted and the work is underway, the report said.
