The Guangdong provincial government will dismiss, transfer or authorize 354 matters that require the administration's approval in the first review since the introduction of administrative reforms.
Last year the province drafted a plan to reform administrative services. The reform follows four rounds of cuts in the number of items requiring the administrations approval.
The list of the items to be assessed in this review, accounting for about 32 percent of all matters that require the approval of the provincial government, was released at a provincial conference on Tuesday.
The cities and counties in the province have until September to figure out how they will tackle the review process in light of the new reforms.
Governor Zhu Xiaodan said the review is important to build a rule-of-law international business environment, optimize the socialist market economic system and accelerate the building of a service-focused government.
Later this year more cities and counties in the province will implement the "super-ministry system" style of reform to allow streamlined and more efficient operation.
The reforms will be implemented across the province next year.
