Government agencies are studying measures to give tax preference to supplementary pensions, China Securities Journal reported on June 28.
Pensioners may be allowed to pay tax when they are retired and started claiming pension money. Measures will likely be unveiled by year-end, the newspaper said.
Authorities are still looking at where the policies will start and Shanghai is mostly like to be the first city, it added.
