Shenzhen customs destroyed more than 555 kilograms of drugs on June 25.
The drugs, which had been seized over the past couple of years, included cocaine, heroin and ketamine. They were packed into 20 plastic boxes and burned at the Nanshan refuse-burning power plant.
They were then thrown into the waste storage tank and sucked into a 1,000-degree incinerator.
According to customs, the incinerator turns the drugs into gas without leaving any residue and will neither harm the environment nor staff.
