Wage rise guidelines released in ten regions

Ten provincial regions in China have released wage guidelines as of June 19, advising enterprises on the range of wage rises, reported chinanews.com Tuesday.

The Enterprise Wage Guideline, a government-drafted document, gives advices to enterprises regarding their annual wage growth according to local economic development goal.

Among the ten provincial regions, most of the baselines, the average growth rate of the wage, are set around 14 percent, while Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region and Tianjin topped the list with 16 percent, and Beijing remained the lowest at 11.5 percent, according to the report.

The average level of the upper limit is 19.8 percent for the ten regions. Hebei province has the highest upper level with 23 percent, while Shanghai presents the lowest with 16 percent.

Apart from Ningxia Hui autonomous region, which did not regulate the bottom line, the average level of the bottom line of the other regions reached 5.3 percent.
