Road accidents kill 6 in E, NW China

BEIJING - Road accidents that occurred on Tuesday in the provinces of Zhejiang and Gansu killed six people and injured another four, according to local authorities.
An accident in the city of Jinchang in Gansu occurred at 8:20 am, killing one person at the scene, police said, adding that another two died after being taken to a local hospital.
Another two people were injured and sent to the hospital for treatment, the police said.
Another accident in Haiyan county in East China's Zhejiang province happened around 9:00 am, when a truck collided with a motorcycle on a provincial highway, killing the motorcycle's driver and two of its passengers.
The Haiyan fire department said another two people on the motorcycle are in critical condition.
Local governments and traffic departments are investigating the accidents.
