Local chief justice gets life sentence for corruption

HEFEI - A chief justice of Bozhou city in East China's Anhui province was sentenced to life in prison for corruption on Friday, a local court ruling said.
Yang Delong, former chief justice of Bozhou Municipal Intermediate People's Court, was alleged to have taken bribes and embezzled public funds worth more than 5.8 million yuan ($917,722), a Chizhou Municipal Intermediate People's Court ruling said.
The court confiscated Yang's illegal gains and 500,000 yuan of his property. He was prosecuted in Chizhou city of the province.
