A small room inside a drug rehabilitation center in Guangdong's Zhongshan city is stacked with various paintings. The works are all done by the recovering addicts there.
With the help of experienced painters, the novices have made rapid progress in painting, and most of their works are copied from originals, director of the center Diao Ganhuan said.
"I have drawn dozens of pictures. It can help me keep my painting skills and take up my work again after leaving here," one addict said.
The rehab's art room, started in 2011, aims to enrich the addicts' time there and to help in the rehabilitation, Diao said.
The center also held a painting exhibition for them and invited their families to visit. It was expected to better their relations and help their rehab, Diao said.
The works have been published on the official micro blog of the Public Security Bureau of Zhongshan city. Many Internet users suggested holding a charity sale to fund more treatment.
