8 detained for 14m yuan in highway robbery

Eight suspects have been detained in Guangzhou in the robbery of about 14 million yuan ($2.2 million) on highways, Chinanews.com reported.
One of the victims, surnamed Yang, said he was stopped by two vehicles near a toll station on the Guangzhou to Shenzhen highway and was robbed.
The suspects have admitted to the crime and are under investigation.
