BEIJING - Foreigners with disabilities visiting Beijing are entitled to take buses free of charge starting Thursday.
The visually impaired and their escorts can also enjoy free rides on subways and light rail transport, Li Caimao, director of the research office of the Beijing Municipal Disabled Persons' Federation, said, citing a new regulation.
In the past, only Chinese citizens who are visually impaired had been offered free rides on buses or subways in Beijing.
