Lu Yuzhi sheds tears while talking about her boyfriend Lu Jiaxi at No 2 People's Hospital in Nanning city, South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Feb 15. The post-80s Lu Jiaxi's home caught on fire on the first day of the lunar new year (Jan 23). Lu helped his 64-year-old mother out of the blaze on his back, severely getting burned in the process. His filial deed has moved hundreds of thousands people and brought more 200,000 yuan ($31,745) in donations, which helped save the lives of the mother and son. Lu Yuzhi says she'll stay with her boyfriend, even though his face is nearly disfigured. [Photo/Xinhua] |
